Lana Del Rey, born Elizabeth Grant, is the newest star to find fame via the internet. Her first song, ‘Video Games’has already cemented her as a serious recording artist,  not to mention her sold out UK gigs.  Born in New York , she grew up listening to Hip Hop and began writing songs at 18.  Her unique voice,  pouty lips, luxurious hair  and the old ‘Hollywood glamour’ style, all add to her appeal. Unlike mainstream artists such as Rihanna and Lady Gaga, Del Rey opts for subtleness, and comes across as a vunerable rather than over the top.  She recently revealed that she has recorded a single with Damon Albarn and Bobby Womack- it’s sure to be amazing and we cannot wait to hear it. Signed to Warner Music, the trio are working hard on the release of their debut album, landing on shelves nationwide at the beginning of next year. Their first single was a little x rated and the girls definitely went head first into the world of pop with a hint of anarchy.

The girl group was put together after 9 months of auditions to find the perfect match. Alexandra who is 21 is of royal African descent and had just completed a degree in Marketing. Karis, also 21, was a Brit school attendee and true South Londoner. Finally Courtney who is 19 was spotted in Topshop and got the job through a casual days shopping!

The girls stand out from the crowd when it comes to fashion. A mixture of bright bold prints, 80’s accessories neon, these girls are not afraid to break the rules. When it comes to colour – the brighter the better.
